Mecobee recognizes that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods, with regular review points. We will encourage customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to do the same.

We endeavor to:

Mecobee’s CSR Programs 1.0

Mecobee Tree Planting Program

We aim to plant 1500 trees a year. As this is a long term program, Mecobee shall be working together with NGOs, schools and colleges, to increase the community impact of greening the earth. Along the way to tree planting, we could educate the participating school kids and youth for the importance of reforestation, and sustaining a greener environment for future generation.

Mecobee Tree Planting Program has identified the following partners to work with:

(a) Global Environment Centre

Target area:

i) Raja Musa Peat Swamp area, Selangor

ii) North Selangor Peat Swamp Forest

(b) Forest Department, Sarawak

Target area:

i) Gunung Apeng Forest Reserve, Serian, Sarawak

ii) Sabal Forest Reserve, Kuching, Sarawak

Mecobee is actively pursuing initiatives to contribute to society, and that the expense of those activities should be borne as part of the social cost of doing business before reaping any profits. Since then, we have promoted a number of self-driven corporate philanthropy projects with the aim of bettering our global society. Mecobee promotes employee participation in our volunteer programs based on our belief that it is important for every member of staff to recognize our responsibilityto give back to society.

Mecobee Children Education Program

Mecobee has been participating in channeling a portion of the profit to charitable bodies to help the underprivileged students for the educational needs. We aimed to form “Mecobee Foundation” in the near future when we are more affordable with the objective to provide health service and scholarships programs for the underprivileged.

Mecobee Children Education program includes but not limited to:

• To Provide FREE school meal

• To Provide new school uniforms & school supplies

Mecobee’s CSR Programs 3.0

Mecobee-SPCA Drive

In just 7 years, one unspayed cat and her offspring can produce over 450,000 cats! (average litter of 3, twice a year) In 7 years, one dog and her offspring can produce over 4,000 dogs! (average litter of 4, once a year). Mecobee SPCA Drive is supporting the SPCA initiative to reduce stray dogs and cats in the community and further reduce the issues raised by them.

Mecobee Coffin Donation

Mecobee committed to donate coffins for passed away old folks in the old folks home or the underprivileged within the community of Penang State who does not afford.

Mecobee will promote and implement measures to manage and address labor rights in the course of business. We shall treat employees fairly and ethically, prohibition to employ child labor and respect the employees’ right.
